The under 18’s compete in the under 18’s National Basketball League Under 18’s North Division, competing against some of the top academies in the country including Manchester, Charnwood and Sheffield. Wildcats are hoping to repeat previous success in this division comfortably making playoffs but narrowly missing out on the finals.
Training is on a Tuesday 6-8 and Friday 5.30-7.00. The club will offer some of our younger players the opportunity to play at higher levels, the under 18’s and under 16’s will work side by side to get the best out of both teams. The under 18’s players will also get the opportunity of being selected to train with the WBBL team.
Here at Wildcats, you can also expect a safe environment in which you will feel comfortable and confident to make mistakes and take risks. All Coaches and Team Managers are DBS screened and hold ‘Child Safeguarding Certificates’, in line with Basketball England (governing body) regulations. They have experience working with young people your age and enjoy working within this age group.
