Cobras Basketball Club
Cobras Basketball is a local basketball club run by the Nottingham Wildcats Arena and provides recreational/participation basketball opportunities for both girls and boys of all abilities, for ages between 5-18 years old. The Cobras have teams in the Central Venue Leagues that are held at the Wildcats Arena for U14, U16 and U18. Mini-ballers, those aged 5 to 12years, can play their games as part of the Nottingham Wildcats Mini-ballers programme.
All sessions are Covid secure, using procedures developed for the Wildcats WBBL team (Women’s professional team), who has been playing throughout the pandemic. This does mean that registration takes a little longer, so we would ask players to arrive 30 minutes before their session, to enable you to get the maximum time on the court.
Training takes place every Monday at the Nottingham Wildcats Arena, Greenwood Road, Bakersfield, Nottingham. NG3 7EB.
- 5-6 pm Mini-Basketball (5-12yrs old).
- 6-8 pm U14, U16 and U18.
The cost per session is £3.50 for Mini-Basketball and £5.00 for U14, U16 and U18 per week. Payment can either be made by card (preferred) or cash.
The Cobra’s management team is made up of Head Coaches for the Age Group programme, Kieran Wright, a full-time professional coach at the Nottingham Academy Wildcats Perform Programme and Dan Watts. Caitlyn Riley, a former Wildcats Mini-baller, heads up the Mini-Basketball programme and Programme Administrator is Korrie Riley.
