Mini-Ballers Basketball

The mini-ballers provide children with an introduction to basketball, catering for both boys and girls starting at age 6 years all the way up to age 12 years old. Basketball is a great sport that helps develop fitness, coordination, teamwork and confidence whilst introducing you and your child to a family-friendly network.

Running three sides, Mini-Ballers 1, 2 and 3 take part in the Mini-Ballers League, Division’s 1, 2 and 3 respectively. Games are 4 vs 4 where the sides are mixed, click here to see the fixture list.

Training takes place on Saturday mornings with the focus on providing an environment that is fun while allowing your child to develop. To aid this the Mini-Ballers club is split into 3 stages to ensure this development, training times are:

  • Leopards Club (ages 5-7 years old) – 8:45am – 9:45am
  • Tigers Club (ages 8-10 years old) – 9:50am – 10:50am
  • Lions Club (ages 11-12 years old) – 10:55am – 12:00pm

Training sessions take place at the Wildcats Arena, your first session is free and then £3.50 per session after that.

Here at Wildcats, you can also expect a safe environment in which you will feel comfortable and confident to make mistakes and take risks. All Coaches and Team Managers are DBS screened and hold ‘Child Safeguarding Certificates’, in line with Basketball England (governing body) regulations. They have experience working with young people your age and enjoy working within this age group.
