Wildcats rebound with a double header win

After an emotional week where Nottingham Wildcats founding member and stalwart Pauline Prior passed away, the ladies responded with the perfect tribute with a double header win this weekend.

Nottingham produced a courageous display to triumph 70-62 over the visiting Cardiff Met Archers; with Simone Costa was at the centre of the home team’s success with a game-high 27 points.

Nottingham then enjoyed their second victory of the weekend, topping Manchester Mystics 66-65 in what proved to be a hard-fought two points. Jasmine Joyner amassed an 18 point, 11 rebound double-double for the Wildcats. The visitors, on the other hand, were again on the wrong end of another thrilling contest having fallen in similar fashion yesterday.

The double header win keeps the Wildcats in the WBBL Playoff hunt.
