Nottingham Wildcats held off a spirited challenge from BA London Lions to continue their solid start to the season.
The Wildcats join Manchester Mystics in joint-fourth with a 6-2 record, while the Lions fall to 1-7.

Turning point – The Wildcats opened up an eight-point lead at the end of the first quarter and they doubled that advantage late in the third at 32-48 before the Lions launched a fightback which came up short.
Key stat – Shumpert scored 30 of the Wildcats’ 64 points in a decisive performance to lead her side to victory.
Game hero(es) – Shumpert posted a huge double-double in the win for the Wildcats with 30 points and 15 rebounds along with three assists, while Joyner weighed in with her own double-double of 16 points and 10 boards.
